This is a purpose built 12x20ft. log cabin, designed for me to run my Practice, as a qualified Aromatherapist & Reiki Practitioner. It is open plan, but has two defined internal spaces: one where I deliver my non-Practitioner workshops, where up to 6 people can learn the basics of Aromatherapy and Therapeutic massage, for use at home. The other area is where I consult with individual clients who come for holistic complementary therapies. My Japanese Soji screen also lets me create more confined areas if I need to. The outside space was created for my students and clients to enjoy the tranquil and peaceful setting during summer months. The inside space is very warm and welcoming and features a flame effect heater. People have commented on it feeling like a Swiss cabin retreat.
The structure is all wooden and constructed exceptionally well, and according to my own specifications, on top of a 6 inch concrete base. The windows and doors are double glazed and the roof, floor and walls fully insulated. The floor has laminate flooring. There are four electrical double sockets and four wall lights and also external security lights. Initially we were going to paint the interior, but were amazed at how warm the wood cladding looked and how this enhanced the non clinical, calming, Sanctuary feel I was looking for.
