I wanted a shed does all for me and my daughter. It had to be some where that in years to come that she could take her friends and be safe. It is also a work shop and a dining area, an office, bar and the home for my Army stuff with all the memories of my Late other half and bits of his 23 year career in the REME. The shed is the Swiss army knife of sheds and it has already hosted a kids Halloween party and now had a sandpit and a swing. there is a basket ball net (small) and chalk boards.
The shed changes and does what i need it to I even have a tool wall and the jam jar nails and screws shelf. Not to mention all the std man tools an a shed designed and finished by a girl. It is something that functions in a practical way with the added WOW factor. My next modification will be to upgrade the office/bar/play/disco room which already houses a unique collection of militaria.
I literally had the idea in my head and then drew it on the back of a scrap of paper with some measurements. I had a 10ft by 16ft space to fit everything in. I had to insulate and board it myself and my sister came to give me a hand for the weekend. Painting was a task as it all had to be done inside and out. The work shop has a tool wall. and there is a window that opens to create draft for the warm summer nights, it leads on the the motorway treeline so a woodland view.
