The Pigeon Hole is for a pigeon I rescued on Hereford station a year ago after she had been attacked by a sea Gull and got away. She had a badly injured leg and wing, she has now recovered sufficiently to release but still falls over a lot. She appears to be almost domesticated and likes to stay close to the house. I built a small box for her to live in but it didn't seem sufficient for the British weather and it seemed to be a little small so I have built her a flying shed! She seems most please with the features of all round balcony so she can get a birds eye view of the garden, transparent roof so she can wake up with the birds and being suspended by string she can feel the natural breeze as if she was in a tree. The Pigeon Hole is suspended from a previous finalist of shed of the year, The Batbarn!
Made from offcuts of wood and odd screws lying around, thanks to Say It With Wood for their offcuts from locally coppicied chestnut and Cedar.
